Put pen to paper and get your ideas flowing in a supportive, low-pressure environment. In this 8-week course, you’ll learn the foundations of sketch writing, explore tools for idea generation, and hear your work out loud through in-class readings.

Classes include a mix of writing exercises, group discussion, instructor feedback, and light homework to help you build confidence and momentum. This course guides you through the fundamentals of sketch comedy — from idea spark to finished piece. You’ll explore comedy structures, character building, and collaboration as you polish original sketches. By the end of the course, you’ll have a stronger understanding of sketch structure and a solid foundation to keep writing on your own.

Perfect for beginners and a great refresher for anyone looking to reconnect with sketch comedy.

Prerequisite: Prior improv performing experience, or Intro to Improv (drop us a line if unsure). Ages 18 yrs+

Please bring comfortable indoor shoes to wear in class.
