High School Financial Literacy (Virtual Only)
$450 + 25 Supply Fee
Financial Literacy is a hands-on, full-year course where students take control of their financial future. They will learn how to budget, save, invest, and plan for life during and after high school in an interactive way. Instead of just reading about money, students will live it through simulations, projects, and challenges that mirror real-world financial decisions from creating a personal budget, to navigating taxes, loans, credit, and investments.
Throughout the year, students will tackle engaging projects like running a simulated life where they manage income, handle unexpected expenses, and make long-term financial choices. Guest speakers from the world of banking, entrepreneurship, and financial planning bring real-world insight, inspiring students with practical tips and career advice.
Students can demonstrate their knowledge in multiple ways: through traditional assignments, case studies, or creative projects such as documentary-style videos, presentations, or financial portfolios. Hence, making learning personal, practical, and fun. By the end of the year, students won’t just understand money; they’ll confidently manage it, make smart financial decisions, and be prepared for independence after graduation.
