eXtend Homeschool Tutorial

8th English/ Language arts - $400 per year + $25 copy/materials fee

Prerequisites: Students must have successfully completed 7th grade ELA course. Additionally, students should be comfortable completing weekly essays and writing projects.

Course Description: This course is destined to improve critical thinking, reading comprehension, and writing skills. Students will read different genres of text and analyze complex literature and information text, structured and evidence based arguments. Students will also develop clear and organized writing skills, and expand vocabulary. Finally, students will engage in active listening and collaborative discussions. Students will explore themes of justice, constructive evidence based arguments,analyze authors analyze the authors craft and work, and evaluate the various types of media.
