Canto 101: Our Organization-Wide Photo Storage & Best Practices
Canto is Goddard Riverside’s official platform for storing and organizing program photos. This training will introduce Canto as the standard system for photo storage across the organization and walk through how programs can use it effectively.
In this session, you’ll learn:
- What Canto is and why we use it
- How to upload photos to your program portal
- How to use keywords and metadata so images are searchable
- Basic tips for capturing stronger program photos
- Required consent guidelines before sharing or publishing images
If you take photos for your program — or need access to photos for outreach, events, or reporting — this training will help you use Canto confidently and consistently.
To receive training credit and a certificate of completion:
- Cameras must be on and facing you. If your camera is not working, please notify the facilitator. Participants without an active camera will not receive a certificate.
- Active participation is required. Our trainings are interactive and require engagement throughout the session.
- Late arrivals: Participants who arrive more than 15 minutes late will not be admitted and will not receive credit.
- Individual registration is required. Each participant must register through Corsizio to receive a certificate. Sharing a screen without registering will not qualify for credit.
- Please keep your microphone muted unless speaking or participating in discussion.
