Tuition: $50, plus a $20 materials kit fee includes a pattern; copper tubing; washer; solder; glue; two precut clear glass triangles, aprox.10” long; and fusible scrap glass. Additional glass for the large plant stake, and frit can be purchased in class, or you can bring your own.

Ages: 16 - Adult

Add a pop of color and personality to your home and garden! In this creative fused glass class, students will design and create beautiful plant and garden stakes that sparkle in flowerpots, garden beds, or along pathways.

Students will create:
• One large custom plant stake using fusible glass and copper tubing
• Two triangular plant stakes made from clear glass, perfect for adding layered designs or subtle decorative touches

You’ll learn the fundamentals of glass cutting and design, along with how to layer sheet glass, frit, stringers, and decorative elements. We’ll also cover proper construction techniques for outdoor durability, including reinforcement and secure stake assembly using copper tubing.

Additional glass for the large plant stake and frit may be purchased during class, or you are welcome to bring your own compatible glass.
Students can choose from a variety of design ideas—flowers, whimsical insects, abstract patterns, seasonal themes, or something entirely your own. Whether your style is bold and colorful or soft and elegant, your finished stakes will bring year-round charm to your plants and outdoor spaces.
No prior fused glass experience is required. Finished pieces will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup after firing.
