Cybersecurity is the art of protecting networks, devices, and data from unauthorized access or criminal use and the practice of ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Cybersecurity analysts plan and carry out security measures to protect an organization’s computer networks and systems.This Cybersecurity curriculum is designed for high school students who want to build foundational skills in digital safety, develop ethical computing behavior, and explore in-demand IT careers. This course will target students looking to understand network defenses, cryptography, cybersecurity hygiene, threat detection, and risk mitigation to protect personal and organizational data.This course will begin with providing an introduction to the foundational principles of network systems and cybersecurity, emphasizing the essential skills needed to set up, maintain, and protect digital communication networks. Next, we will build upon the foundational knowledge to advance students' skills in securing and managing complex network environments. This included configuring, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, with an emphasis on implementing security protocols and mitigating cybersecurity risks. This class is recommended for 10th, 11th and 12th grade students.
