Compass Arts Summer Camp: Week 2
For campers ages 5 - 10 years old
M-F 9am-2pm, July 27 to July 31, 2026
Led by Heather Davies, Chiara Di Lello & Lisa Andretta

Join us for summer camp at Compass Arts! Led by experienced teaching artists, our four week program at First Presbyterian Church will have a curated a collection of our favorite summer camp activities including art projects, musical explorations, lots of exploratory play, and group games. Sign up for week one, two, three or all four. We'll spend as much of the day outdoors as possible, weather permitting!

DAILY CAMP SCHEDULE

9am Open Play
Our days will begin at 9am with open play at curated “exploration stations”. Each day, we will set out some open ended toys, games, and art supplies for children to choose from for the first 40 minutes of the day. This will allow time for teachers and students to connect in an informal, playful environment, before moving on to more structured activities later in the day.

9:40am Morning Meeting
We will gather as a group to connect and discuss the day’s agenda! Songs, games, and group activities.

10am Wash Hands and Snack
Students will bring their own snack.

10:30am Phase One Projects and Activities
Activities will range from art projects, to movement games and activities, to music explorations, or nature “hikes”.

12pm Wash Hands and Lunch
Students will bring their own lunch.

12:30ish Phase Two Projects and Activities
Here’s where we will have some choice and wiggle room in our schedule. We may use this time to continue projects, or play group games. This will also be the time we have for sprinklers and water play outside. Campers are encouraged to have bathing suits under their clothes for an easy transition, and if they choose to play in the water they may still be wet at pickup. Plan a dry outfit for the car ride home if desired.

1:30pm Tidy up and Storytime
Campers and teachers will work together to put everything away and gather for a story before pickup.

2pm Pickup Time

We offer sliding scale pricing for folks who can't pay full price. To apply for sliding scale pricing use our sliding scale assistance form prior to registering. Please note that for summer camps we are unlikely to be able to accept a sliding scale request for more than one camp per family.

CANCELLATION POLICIES FOR SUMMER CAMPS:

• Cancellations made by May 15 receive a full refund minus a $75 non-refundable application fee. After this date, refunds will be granted on a per-case basis (in the event of illness or family emergency).

WHY THE $75 APPLICATION FEE FOR SUMMER CAMP CANCELLATIONS?:

• There are a few reasons why we charge this fee for summer camp cancellations. Summer camps tend to book up early so cancellations leave us in the position of trying to fill your spot when many folks have already solidified their summer plans. While we do maintain waitlists for our summer camps, the work of reaching out to waitlist members to find replacement registrants can be time-consuming and therefore costly.
