Once Upon a Stage: Fairytales & Folklore

Description:

In this imaginative EIGHT week acting class, participants will reimagine beloved stories filled with wicked witches, daring heroes, enchanted castles, mysterious forests, cursed spells, and happily-ever-afters. 🏰
From facing the Big Bad Wolf to rewriting classic love stories and giving villains like Maleficent their own dramatic twist, actors will explore fantasy through fun improv, character play, and short skits.
This supportive, neurodivergent-friendly space encourages self-expression, confidence, and playful collaboration while bringing legendary tales off the page and onto the stage.
This class is open to new & returning Barrier-Free participants, no prior experience required is required!

DDA Self-Directed Funding

Statewide Coordinators of Self-Directed Services, have taken a stricter stance regarding IFDGS Self-Direct requests, leading to significant disruptions in funding approvals. Despite our programs full alignment with the Self-Directed Services Manual, as they have been approved for many years, all requests are now being denied.

Given these circumstances, we cannot rely on IFDGS requests at this time and all class payments must be made by the individual/family at the time of registration. Please know that this decision has not been made lightly. The unpredictable and arbitrary funding changes imposed by the DDA have left us with no alternative.
