Lost Wax Casting: Learn how to cast a pre-made wax or 3D printed object using the Lost Wax method in a two day class. Feel free to bring your own model to cast or use one provided.

Day 1:

• Discuss the burnout cycle
• Discuss centrifuge casting verses vacuum assisted casting. 
• Sprue a model.
• Mix and pour investment.
• Discuss the burnout cycle.

Day 2: The 13 hour wax burnout will be completed between class 1 & 2:

• Pour metal into the mold
• Cleanup the finished piece.    

The size of the model must be less than 2 x 2 x 2.5 unless you have previously cleared the model with the instructor. The material cost will depend on the size of the object cast and the material used.
