Disaster Supervision Fundamentals
Disaster Supervision Fundamentals is a basic-level, virtual or instructor-led course for disaster responders who want to attain a Supervisor position in their chosen activity.

This course focuses on the interpersonal skills or the “how” of directing your team on a disaster relief operation (DRO). This course, along with Disaster Relief Operation Supervision, provides a foundation for how to supervise teams on a DRO.

Disaster Relief Operation Supervision and Disaster Supervision Fundamentals replace Supervising the Disaster Workforce. Anyone who took the previous course is encouraged, but not required to take the new courses.

Prerequisites:

  • Disaster Cycle Services: An Overview
  • Training required to be a service associate in an activity in which he or she expects to become a supervisor.
