This course will guide you in the many ways to research your ancestors. The course contains information on the types of genealogy records that exist and where you can find those original records. U.S. Ports of Arrival and tips for determining your ancestors Port of Arrival. Clues about your family in Census Records. Useful research websites. Effective genealogy search formats. Types of court, land, tax, and probate records and how to find them. Using newspaper and magazine archives for research. How to find records that originate in other countries. This course is designed for all levels of genealogy researchers whether you consider yourself a beginner, intermediate, or expert. Gail Baerny began her Genealogy journey in 1999. As a result, her research has taken her to various repositories where she has obtained copies of original documents from Federal, State, County and City Archives. Also from Family History Centers, Courthouses, Libraries, Churches, Historical Societies and Cemeteries. Today she continues her quest in researching her family history.
