This class will cover many fundamental skills for the creation of copper hollowware vessels including tag board prototyping, templating, and lid and handle design. Forming techniques such as rasing, sinking, and key seaming will be covered as well as general large scale soldering with big torches. Learn to experiment with copper brazing rod alongside traditional silver soldering to expand your vocabulary of joints and fit-ups in metalsmithing. Prerequisite: Metals 1 or equivalent. Studio C
