We’ll begin this workshop with making several simple book structures. From there, we’ll experiment with low-tech printing techniques such as gel plate printing, stamp making, and other approaches to expressive mark-making. Using flowers, leaves, and other natural materials, we’ll get creative with printing with natural materials to create rich textures or patterns. Finally, we’ll bring everything together by transforming our printed pages into unique, handcrafted artist books that are inspired by the natural world. All materials will be provided although students are welcome to bring objects (e.g. leaves, flowers, photos) that inspire them. All levels/Adults & Teens 16+
