The Green Room

Kids TV/Film Lab (8-12 yrs)

Our Kids & Teens TV/Film Labs are single-session classes for young actors who want additional time working on their on-camera skills outside of a full course.

Each lab is led by a Green Room teacher and runs like a working class, but without a set curriculum. Sessions begin with a warm-up that may include on-camera interviews, skill-building games, and exercises to help actors connect, loosen up, and get comfortable on camera.

Actors may bring their own material—such as scenes or past audition sides—or choose from options provided by the studio. These selections may include TV, film, or commercial material and can be tailored to support each actor’s current goals. Teachers coach each actor individually, offering adjustments and guidance while they work.

Labs help actors stay sharp and continue developing their craft between classes. While auditions often come with tight deadlines, our work focuses on building strong preparation habits and craft that support an actor’s long-term growth.

Labs are intended for students who have previously taken a Green Room class or who have a similar level of experience. Actors new to the studio may email to request admission with information about their training and experience.

Please note: material brought in for labs cannot be from auditions currently in progress or from projects that have not yet been released.
