Housing, Health, and Participatory Action Research with Dr. Erin Bradley
As rent prices rise and homeownership becomes less attainable for many Americans, housing affordability has become an increasingly important public health issue. What are the effects of unaffordable housing on individual and community health?
In this lecture, Dr. Erin Bradley, a public health researcher and professor, will explore how community-engaged research can offer new ways of understanding the relationship between housing and health. Drawing on her current research on housing and health connections, she will discuss how working collaboratively with communities can help researchers better understand the structural factors that shape health outcomes.
Dr. Bradley’s research focuses on developing contextualized, multilevel approaches to improving population health. Her work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals including Health Promotion Practice, Journal of Women’s Health, and MMWR, and she regularly collaborates with community partners to design studies that address real-world public health challenges.
