Confident Communicator: NextGen Talk (4th-5th)
In this transformative NextGen Talk Camp, campers will learn how to craft powerful presentations inspired by the TED Talk format. Students begin by identifying topics they care deeply about—from personal experiences to ideas they want to share with the world.
Throughout the camp, students learn how to shape their ideas into meaningful stories, structure their talks with clear messages, and engage audiences through confident delivery and compelling storytelling. Coaches guide students through brainstorming, drafting, revising, and practicing their presentations so they can communicate their ideas with clarity and impact.
Campers will also learn presentation techniques such as storytelling structure, vocal variety, stage presence, and audience engagement strategies.
How it Applies to the Real World: These communication and presentation skills help students succeed academically, express their ideas with confidence, and prepare for leadership opportunities in school and future careers.
Deliverable: At the end of the camp, students will deliver their polished TED-style presentations to peers and families. Each camper will receive personalized feedback and a certificate celebrating their achievement.
