Make a Play & Public Speaking Combo 5 DAY WORKSHOP: Ages 10-13 KILLARA

Embrace your creative side & build vocal confidence in this 5 Day workshop!

Skills we will build together

  • Acting Skills: listening, reacting, and responding to given circumstances
  • Character Creation: building a character from scratch, exploring backstory, voice, and movement
  • Storytelling: understanding story arcs and creating a story for performance
  • Stagecraft: developing spatial awareness and confidence on stage
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: working together, building an ensemble, and supporting peers
  • Vocal Skills: practicing projection, diction, and clarity within exercises and performance
  • Movement & Physicality: exploring expressive movement and basic stage actions
  • Confidence in Performance: sharing work in a supportive, fun, and safe environment
  • Projecting the voice with strength and confidence
  • Speaking clearly through articulation and diction practice
  • Using fun tongue twisters to build focus, coordination, and clarity
  • Building teamwork and collaboration skills through drama games
  • Developing creativity in a supportive environment that celebrates each child’s unique voice

Class Details:

Age group: 10-13 years old (please note this is based on age, not school year)

Venue: Living Hope Anglican, Church Hall, 9B Arnold Street, Killara

Date: Monday 13th April - Friday 17th April

Time: 9:00am - 12:00 pm

End of Day Showing

Time: Friday 17th April 11:30

Students will demonstrate their new and improved skills in a showing at the end of the day for family and friends! *Please note that the time is subject to change. Any updates will be communicated to families via email.

Cost

WORKSHOP FEE:   $300

TRIAL CLASSES:                          Only available for weekly classes, not holiday workshops. 

What to bring

  1. Comfortable clothing to move about in

  3. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea (no nuts please)
