Creative Aging: Cook Once, Eat Well All Week!

This class is part of our Creative Aging program and is open to ages 55 and older!

One whole chicken—fresh or frozen—can turn into multiple nourishing meals for the week, with extra to freeze for later. In this informative class, you’ll learn how to use the Instant Pot to cook a whole chicken to tender, flavorful perfection.

Chef Allison will have several meals prepared and will demonstrate how to turn one chicken into a variety of dishes, while also sharing additional meal ideas you can make at home.

We’ll also talk about why cooking whole birds is more cost-effective and nutrient-dense than buying individual cuts and how to make a quick, simple broth from pressure cooking the chicken.

Bring a notebook to jot down notes and enjoy a sampling of the delicious dishes we’ll share for lunch!

This class is FREE thanks to the support of Friends of the Arts, Inc.

Activities are made possible in part by the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana, the Indiana Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.

We value inclusion and access for all participants. We are pleased to provide reasonable accommodations. Please contact Alexianna at alexi@traditionalartstoday.org to make a reasonable accommodation request. Requests must be submitted 2 weeks in advance of class.
