Consumer Math & Financial Literacy is a upperr-level high school course designed to prepare students for real-world financial independence. Using a blended approach from Demme Learning’s Stewardship and Not Consumed’s Consumer Math for Real Life, this class combines structured math instruction with hands-on, real-world financial projects.
This is not just a workbook course. Students will actively apply what they learn to realistic adult scenarios.
Students Will Learn To:
- Create and manage a realistic monthly budget
- Understand taxes, paychecks, and deductions
- Compare loans and calculate interest
- Evaluate credit cards responsibly
- Explore housing and transportation costs
- Understand insurance and risk
- Learn the basics of saving and investing
