Purposeful Use of Manipulatives in the IM Classroom (K-6)
Wed, Jun 10, 2026, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM PDT
Board Room (District Office), 25631 Peter A. Hartman Way, Mission Viejo, CA, United States Map
In this interactive session, teachers will explore how tools such as base ten blocks, connecting cubes, counters, pattern blocks, and fraction bars can be used with our IM curriculum to promote “hands-on” engagement and deepen mathematical reasoning. Participants will examine how concrete models support number sense, place value, operations, and fraction understanding while aligning with grade-level standards and promoting meaningful math discourse.
