Beginners Sewing Course

Ready to discover the joy of sewing and unlock your creative side? Join our welcoming beginner’s sewing course and step into the colourful world of fabric, texture and stitch.

Across five relaxed and inspiring sessions, you’ll be gently guided through the essentials — from setting up and understanding your sewing machine to exploring different stitch styles, seams, appliqué and even free-motion embroidery. Each session is designed to build your confidence at your own pace, with plenty of support along the way.

The course is led by local textile artist, author and co-founder of Pimm’s and Needles, Charlotte, who brings a wealth of experience along with a friendly, encouraging teaching style.

By the end of the course, you’ll have created your own beautiful tote bag and, more importantly, gained the skills and confidence to start your own sewing projects at home. You’ll feel comfortable using a sewing machine and ready to continue your journey — whether that’s independently or by joining our friendly social sewing group.

Sewing machines are provided, but you’re very welcome to bring your own if you’d like to get to know it better. No experience is needed — just bring your curiosity and creativity.

This is a small group with limited places so early booking is recommended.
