Flower Printing & Art Using Natural Resources
Come to the Adirondack Loj for a relaxing evening creating art from nature! Leave your paintbrushes at home; we will be using the materials we find in nature as our paint brushes. At this program, expect to learn about sustainable foraging for art materials, flower printing, and different techniques to use nature as your paintbrush.
We will start with a short presentation on sustainable foraging. Then we will go for a walk to forage for natural materials to use in our art. The remainder of the evening will be spent inside creating art and listening to relaxing music.
ADK will provide art materials, although participants are encouraged to bring their own journal/paper. Watercolor paper or paper that is water-absorbent is best for flower pressing. If the participant does not bring a piece of paper to use, one will be provided.
This program will be led by one of ADK's educators. Participants of all ages are welcome to attend this family friendly event, although children must be supervised.
