Welcome to the Train the Trainer Event. This in-person training is one of our critical and mandatory ways to prepare for the VDOE Summer 2026 trainings. Through this portal you will experience some of the client experiences like registration confirmation, check-in, and reminders.
The description of the summer training that was shared with participants is:
This hands-on, one-day training is designed for school nutrition cafeteria staff. Participants will learn practical kitchen skills that support healthy, high-quality school meals. The training is provided at no cost through the Virginia Department of Education, Office of School and Community Nutrition Programs (VDOE-SCNP) and will be taught by instructors from the Culinary Institute of America.
We encourage school nutrition directors, managers, and kitchen leaders to register their cafeteria staff as soon as possible. Space is limited and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
