Join us for a day trip to Washington D.C. on Saturday, May 9th!

Itinerary:

• Monument visits around the Tidal Basin
• National Air & Space Museum
• Lunch at National Air & Space Museum
• Dinner at Shake Shack
• Ford's Theater - 1776

$95 covers the cost of your ticket to 1776, transportation, and parking.

$82 covers the cost of your ticket to 1776.

Please bring additional money for lunch, dinner, snacks, and souvenirs.

We will be walking between 5 - 6 miles this day so please wear comfortable clothes and shoes! We will be walking on sidewalks, grass, and gravel walkways along the National Mall.

There are 13 carpooling spots available for this event or meet us in DC. If you are interested in carpooling please arrive to The Life Skills & Social Studio at 9:30am and we will arrive back by 11:00pm.

If you would like to meet us in Washington D.C., we will meet at the Metro Center Stop at 11:00am and depart D.C. at 10:00pm.

Weather Plan - this event is rain or shine:

• If the weather is nice and there is no rain, we will proceed with the day as planned.
• If the weather is rainy and unsuitable for long outdoor walks, we will visit the museum, Shake Shack, and Ford's Theater. We will NOT visit the outdoor memorials.
• If the weather is severe thunderstorms, not safe for any outdoor walking, we will ONLY attend the show at Ford's Theater.
