Hot Metal Casting with Pewter (Lecture)

For this presentation on Friday, May 22 at 7:00 pm, we will be joined by guest lecturer Greg Gardner from RIT, who will show you several methods for casting solid metal objects out of molten pewter!
Greg will discuss different methods of creating molds and you will learn about the materials and tools needed to perform your own metal casting at home. He will melt pewter ingots using a hotplate, and then pour the liquid metal into high-temperature silicone molds. He will also have several small finished projects on hand to show you some of the results you can achieve with this process.
You must register to attend, and spaces are limited.to 25.
