Class Description

In a world driven by computers, the Information Technology field continues to evolve and grow. There are many different career paths within Information Technology. This course will explore several of the top fields within computer science. Students will receive an overview, get a taste of each field, hear from experts within various fields and learn about next steps they can take for certification, education and careers. Topics covered will include computer history and safety, hardware, networking, coding languages, software development, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, web design, clouds, Agile, social media/marketing, analytics.
This is the perfect class for students who are interested in learning more about and possibly pursuing a career in a computer field. The goal of this class is to introduce the breadth of the industry, offer introductory experience, learn from experts who can answer further questions and direct students to a next step as they decide what path most interests them.
