Planning for Small Group Instruction: Leveraging Evidence-Based Resources and AI Tools

This free webinar will show educators how to identify priority concepts for mathematics intervention groups as part of a Multi-Layer System of Support (MLSS). We discuss instructional routines and small-group lesson structure that are proven to promote high engagement and interaction with quality math tasks. These concepts ensure high cognitive demand for all learners.

Attendees will walk away with tools that can support high-impact math intervention goals with resources to aid instructional design. We will also discuss the potential that AI tools have in supporting those goals, especially those trained on evidence-based resources.

Outcomes for this session include:

  • How to design and implement effective small-group lesson structures utilizing instructional routines that promote high engagement and interaction
  • Why being stuck is a learning moment for students
  • How to select and adapt quality math activities that maintain a high cognitive demand for all learners in an intervention setting
  • Practical tools and resources to create high-impact math intervention goals and design supporting instruction
