Event Overview: Vivian’s 10th Birthday Fashion Party

Date & Time: Saturday, May 16th | 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Location: Columbus Fashion Academy Creative Studio (CCAD Campus, former Studio Hall)

For two magical hours, Vivian and her guests will dive into the world of design. Our studio emphasizes artistic freedom, allowing each child to act as the lead designer of their own unique project.

The Schedule

• 12:55 p.m. – Arrival: Guests arrive to get settled so we can begin promptly at 1:00 p.m.
• 1:00 p.m. – Creative Studio Time: Kids choose their path! Options include sewing aprons, pillows, mini skirts or tote bags, embroidery, fabric painting, sustainable jewelry making, etc. Our team provides expert guidance to help every guest finish a piece to take home.
• 2:50 p.m. – Wrap-Up: Final touches, labeling, and packing projects.
• 3:00 p.m. – Pick-Up: This is a focused, drop-off session. There is no scheduled time for cake or snacks.

Party Policies & Liability Waiver

Booking & Logistics

• Payment: A non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before the event.
• Cancellations: Cancellations made 30+ days in advance will receive a full refund (minus deposit). No refunds are available within 30 days, though we will attempt to reschedule based on availability.
• Headcount: Based on 8 participants. Final changes must be submitted 7 days prior.
• Timing: Please be punctual. Late pick-ups (after 3:10 p.m.) may incur additional studio fees billed in 30-minute increments.

Safety & Release of Liability

By participating in an event at Columbus Fashion Academy (CFA), parents/guardians acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk: Parents understand that fashion design involves the use of tools including, but not limited to, sewing machines, needles, scissors, and fabric adhesives. While we provide age-appropriate instruction and supervision, inherent risks of minor injury exist.
2. Release of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the parent/guardian hereby releases, waives, and discharges Columbus Fashion Academy, its staff from any and all liability, claims, or demands for personal injury, property damage, or accidents occurring on the premises or during the course of the event.
3. Medical Disclosure: Parents must notify CFA of any allergies (latex, adhesives, etc.) or medical conditions prior to the event. CFA is not responsible for complications arising from undisclosed allergies.
4. Behavior: For the safety of all, children must follow staff instructions. CFA reserves the right to contact a guardian for immediate pick-up if a child’s behavior poses a safety risk to themselves or disturbance to others.

Media Consent

Participation grants CFA the right to capture and use photos or videos of the creative process for promotional purposes. Please notify us in writing before the event if you wish to opt out of media sharing.

Parking & Access

• Location: Corner lot at Grant Ave & Long St for quick drop-off.
• Direct Entry: You may pull up to our front door for easy access. Look for our sandwich-board sign and balloons!
• For Parents: You are welcome to relax in our reception area. If you choose to head out, we are steps away from Charmy’s Market, Brioso Café, and the Columbus Museum of Art.
