Spark Studios

Spark Studios is excited to partner with Champlain Region Model Rocket Club (CMRC) to provide a space to create model rockets with guidance from CRMRC model rocket expert Kevin Kittinger. Kevin is a Level 2 certified through NAR and is working towards the highest level of certification – Level 3. NAR certification requires passing tests and demonstration of rocket building skills and for meeting safety standards for flying high powered rockets. Kevin is member of our local rocket club – The Champlain Region Model Rocket Club, which is a section of the National Association of Rocketry (NAR). They were chartered. in 2002 by a small group of individuals who were interested in furthering their own expertise and in sharing a love of modeling, amateur science, rocketry and camaraderie. They hold monthly launches in Saint Albans and are excited to bring a launch to Richmond!

Students who take the model making class will:

Make their own model rocket with provided kit materials

Be provided with an engine for launch day (Saturday May 9th at 10am at Conant's Field in Richmond)

Have an opportunity to talk to and work with model rocket enthusiasts

This class is for students Grades 5 and up, or 3 and up with an adult helper.

The community is invited to attend the launch and watch!
