Making Wood Jewelry: Money Clip
Maximum Students: 3
Duration: 3 hrs
Prerequisites: Intro to Woodworking
In this class, you’ll learn how to make a money clip out of wood. A money clip is an easy-to-make piece that is both useful and makes a great gift item. Together we will cut out our blanks out of a block of wood, and learn how to use the bandsaw to hollow it out the form. Students will fine-tune their clips by sanding with various grits to achieve a smooth surface. We will discuss various decorative techniques, and finish our clips with tung oil.
