Florida 4-Hour Annual Handgun Requalification
Course Description:
This 4-hour course fulfills the State of Florida’s annual firearms requalification requirement for licensed Class “G” Armed Security Officers. The program is designed to refresh officers on firearm safety, Florida law, and use-of-force guidelines, while ensuring continued proficiency with their duty weapon.
Students will review Chapter 493 and 776 Florida Statutes, safe firearm handling practices, and range safety procedures before completing the state-mandated 48-round qualification course of fire on a standard B-27 target. Participants must achieve a minimum passing score of 70% (168/240 points) to successfully requalify.
Upon completion, participants receive a Certificate of Firearms Proficiency for license renewal, as required by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS).
Course Length: 4 Hours
Prerequisite: Valid Florida Class “G” Statewide Firearms License
Equipment Required: Duty handgun, holster, two magazines, 50 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection.
