Learn to use a router—one of the most versatile tools in the woodshop.

This hands-on class covers the different types of handheld routers as well as the use of a router table. Safe routing techniques will be demonstrated and practiced. Students will learn the use and care of various bits while using the shop’s routers to create profiles, cut dados, and follow patterns. The class also includes an introduction to both commercially made and DIY (homemade) router jigs.

You will leave the class with the confidence and knowledge to incorporate routers into your woodworking toolkit.
