This class builds on the Drawing Foundations course with a focus on creating complete drawings from beginning to end. We'll keep the fun warm-ups and emphasis on our right-brain's ability to see clearly while adding:
- How and when to apply various drawing techniques to achieve desired outcome
- A deeper dive into perspective (from 1pt to 2pt)
- Compositional techniques for creating impactful images
- How to troubleshoot and refine problem areas in your drawings
- Working from a variety of still-life set-ups, photos and real-life
- Techniques for adding polish and "finish" to a piece
A variety of drawing materials will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring their own materials if preferred.
Location: 12513 Lake City Way NE, Seattle (*Free parking is available in lot west of café. Please use the westside entrance, as café is closed to the public during class hours.)
About Your Instructor: Janet is an artist and teacher with more than 20 years of teaching experience. Her work has been selected for both local and international exhibitions. She loves to inspire a love of art in others - helping you embrace the creative process and giving you the tools to bring your vision to life. Ages 16+ welcome.
