Grade Band 3-5: Multiplication & Division
The Multiplication & Division Content Clinic (Days 1-4) are designed to broaden and deepen key content knowledge in the 3-5 grade band and beyond. The sessions focus firmly on the mathematical content, ideas, and essential knowledge educators need to give students a robust understanding of multiplication and division - beyond the standard algorithms - and guide them in applying this knowledge in problem solving situations. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the key ideas in using and teaching multiplication and division, learn how the content interacts with students' cognitive development, and acquire new perspectives informed by neuroscience.
