| Painting patterns, details, faces, hands and lettering are skills that most glass workers don't have an opportunity to learn. Deborah Ellington has developed a simple hands-on program for you to learn the basics of traditional glass painting. These skills are an invaluable tool for adding detail to stained glass projects. Included with the class is a beginner's kit of traditional glass paint and brushes. Deborah will teach you about which materials and tools to use to achieve the look you're after, and add professional detail to your glass art | |
| On day one you will learn about the materials and tools used in glass painting. You will work on creating the linework in your practice pieces. On day two, you will learn to enhance your designs with matting and shading. You’ll be amazed at how often you can use these techniques in your stained glass art. | |
| Deborah holds a BA, an MA and a Master of Fine Arts degrees. She taught art and was Dean of Instruction at Lone Star College for several decades. She has been an integral member of the Houston arts community for many years. She works in paint, ceramics and glass and we are always excited to have her teaching at Harmony! | |
| Please wear long pants and closed toe shoes to class. |
We require that you purchase any class tools and supplies here at Harmony when needed for your class. By doing so, you help ensure that your local stained glass store will be here as a place for fun and learning for many years to come.
