Announcing the Second Royal Improv Festival: A Queen City Comedy Experience in Charlotte & Lake Norman, NC July 6–14, 2026.

This six-day festival is part of the Queen City Comedy Experience, Charlotte’s premier celebration of all-things comedy—spotlighting the art of improv. Like previous years, expect workshops, jams, and after parties, all designed to bring performers together in a vibrant, collaborative environment.

The Royal Improv Festival by Queen City Comedy is a one-of-a-kind event highlighting local and national talent. We’re committed to showcasing great work, celebrating artistry, building community, and creating unforgettable comedy.

Submission Details:

• Submission fee: $30
• Early bird (through April 19): $20
• Submissions open until April 30

A limited number of groups will be selected to perform. Typical improv sets will be 20 minutes. As in previous years, the review process includes third-party reviewers from outside of Charlotte, ensuring an unbiased and transparent selection process focused on quality. 

This is the firs part of the submission process. You will receive a confirmation after completing this registration with a google form link to fill out.

Partially completed applications will not be reviewed.
