Irish Heritage School

Our internships are aimed primarily at IHS alumni who want to expand on their archaeological skills, learnt from previous IHS programs (but we will make exceptions for the right individual). Our internships are based at our archaeological projects in Birr, County Offaly. Our winter program takes place from January 3rd to February 27th, 2027.

Internship tasks focus on site survey, archaeological and historical research. Students stay with local families in homestay accommodation, guaranteeing an enriching cultural immersion and truly memorable experience.

The fee includes all meals, accommodation, tuition, instruction, equipment, and field trips.

Scholarship support is available to IHS alumni only through our ‘Alumni Scholarship Scheme’, please select on your application.
