VAPA Foundation

This camp for is open to all students who just finished 7th or 8th grade during the 2025-2026 school year at a San Diego Unified School District school. A valid student ID number is required for final enrollment.

About our Program:

Ready to move, create, and perform? This high-energy, four-week dance experience is perfect for outgoing 7th and 8th graders who love to dance or want to try something new! Explore styles like Hip Hop, Majorette, Jazz, and Pom while building your skills, confidence, and creativity alongside a fun, supportive group. You’ll learn choreography, collaborate with friends, and even get a behind-the-scenes look at college dance programs—what they’re like and what it takes to be part of one.

The session wraps up with a final showcase, where you’ll hit the stage to:

• Perform routines you’ve created and learned
• Share what you discovered about a college dance program

No matter your experience level, come ready to bring the energy and express yourself!

This class is generally paced for students with fine motor skills. Attention and focus will be key skills students will practice during camp. We welcome all students, and will be happy to make accommodations based on request! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out!

Schedule:

• This 4-week camp runs weekdays from June 8 to July 2.
• Camp will be off Friday June 19th and Friday July 3rd for holidays.
• Student check in will be from 8:30am-9:00am, and student pick up/dismissal will be at 11:30am.
• Camp instruction will be from 9:00am-11:30 am.
