Building Confident Dancers Through Strong Fundamentals

Everyone starts somewhere, and at Pasito we believe the strongest dancers are built on strong fundamentals.

Salsa Foundations is the first level of the Pasito Adult Salsa Program. This 7-week course is designed specifically for beginners and focuses on building confidence before introducing partnerwork.

You'll develop the essential skills every salsa dancer needs, including timing, rhythm, posture, body movement, musicality and footwork. By learning to dance independently first, you'll build a strong foundation that makes future partner dancing feel natural and enjoyable.

No partner or previous dance experience is required. Whether you're taking your very first dance class or returning after years away, you'll be welcomed into a supportive community where learning happens one small step at a time.

Throughout this session, you'll develop:

• Timing and rhythm
• Salsa basic steps
• Posture and body alignment
• Weight transfer and balance
• Body movement
• Musical awareness
• Basic shines (solo footwork)
• Dance etiquette
• Confidence on the dance floor
