The Question Formulation Technique (QFT), is a “rigorous, scaffolded protocol that facilitates learning how to ask better questions.” This session will introduce the QFT and demonstrate how it can be used in your own classes to encourage students to ask deep, meaningful questions. I'll also showcase how I've used the QFT in my classes, ranging from service level stats classes, to capstone research classes.
