Creative Aging: Celebrate 250! Patriotic Sign Painting

This class is part of our Creative Aging program and is open to ages 55 and older!

Celebrate America’s 250th in a fun and creative way! In this guided workshop, you’ll create a bold and festive wooden sign featuring a waving American flag design and “God Bless America” lettering. Pre-drawn outlines will help you get started, while you bring your piece to life with vibrant reds, whites, and blues.

You’ll learn simple painting techniques to add depth, clean lines, and personality to your sign. Whether you keep it for your own home or gift it to someone special, this piece is a meaningful way to celebrate the occasion.

Perfect for all skill levels and no experience needed! Come ready to paint, relax, socialize, and enjoy the process.

This class is FREE thanks to the support of Friends of the Arts, Inc.

Activities are made possible in part by the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana, the Indiana Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.

We value inclusion and access for all participants. This class is wheelchair accessible and we are pleased to provide additional reasonable accommodations. Please contact Alexianna at alexi@traditionalartstoday.org to make a reasonable accommodation request. Requests must be submitted 2 weeks in advance of class.
