Fall Outing Hike: Hurricane Mt. (Sat #2)
Hurricane Mountain is part of the ADK Fire Tower Challenge. We will take the southern approach trail up the mountain. This is a lovely hike with minimal scrambling, with one very small and not difficult section near the summit.
There are some steep sections but we will stop and catch our breath whenever necessary. There are several great lookouts along the way, giving just a taste of what this 360º summit with its fire tower.
Our group will meet at the Young Life Campus lodge dining room and carpool about one hour to the trailhead.

Trip distance: 6.6 miles round trip; 2000’ elevation gain
