Dinghy & Keelboat Instructors - add another feather to your hat with a Powerboat Instructor Cert.

An Instructor Discipline Conversion allows qualified instructors to extend their instructorship into another discipline or scheme, building on the skills and experience gained from their existing qualification.

Pre Requisites Listed below:

Already hold a valid SBSS Dinghy/Keelboat instructor cert.

Powerboat Pre Entry Assessment Day within the last 12 months.

Powerboat Pre Entry on Thursday April 23rd 2026. pending availability.

You must have all usual instructor safety cert in order also... eg GV, FAid, SG1, IS membership

Minimum age 17 years.
