🌊 Seoltóireacht trí Ghaeilge

Monday Mornings | 9:30am – 1:00pm

Give your child the chance to learn, practice and enjoy Irish in a fun, active environment on the water.

This program is designed for children aged 7–11 (primary school age) and combines introductory sailing with spoken Irish, creating a relaxed and engaging way to build confidence in both.

⛵ What to Expect

Based on the child-centered approach of Cara na Mara, children will:

  • Learn the basics of sailing through games and activities
  • Build confidence on and around the water
  • Practice Irish naturally through fun, everyday interaction
  • Explore the marine environment in a safe and supportive setting

🌱 Learning Through Experience

The focus is on:

  • Enjoyment and participation
  • Confidence building
  • Developing a love for the outdoors and the sea

While children will pick up key sailing skills, the emphasis is on fun, discovery, and using Irish in a natural way — not formal instruction or testing.

đź’¬ Gaeilge on the Water

Children are encouraged to:

  • Speak and hear Irish throughout the session
  • Build vocabulary in a practical, memorable way
  • Gain confidence using Irish outside the classroom
