Summit Homeschool Group

This high school creative writing course invites students to develop writing practices, find their voice, sharpen their storytelling skills, and grow in confidence as writers. Students will explore multiple genres including short fiction, journalism/reporting, personal narrative, and creative nonfiction.

Students will learn essential writing techniques such as character development, dialogue, setting, imagery, and revision strategies. The class emphasizes both creativity and discipline, helping students generate ideas, give and receive constructive feedback, and produce polished pieces. By the end of the year, each student will compile a portfolio of their strongest work.
