Career Connected Schools: Train the Trainer June 10 & 11 (2 Days Preferred)
Career Connected Schools Professional Development Opportunity
JUNE 10th-TECH LAB
JUNE 11th-Room 1
If you can ONLY attend one day, DAY 1 is the most important day to attend.
DAY 2 can be done asynchronously.
We are excited to partner with Educators Cooperative to offer a two-day Train-the-Trainer session as part of our Career Connected Schools initiative.
What is this training? This session helps teachers at all levels, embed career-connected learning into existing instruction—no extra workload required. Participants will learn practical strategies to:
- Connect content to real-world careers
- Support students in exploring interests and strengths
- Facilitate meaningful career conversations
- Use ready-to-implement tools
A key focus is the RIASEC model (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, Conventional), giving students a shared language to understand themselves and their future pathways.
Why it matters? Career-connected learning helps students see relevance, explore options, and build confidence and purpose.
What to expect
- Interactive, hands-on learning
- Ready-to-use strategies
- Time to collaborate and plan
Our goal is to build a K–12 awareness where all students can connect their learning to future opportunities and leave with a clearer sense of their future!
(If you are uanble to attend both days, email: brandee.ramirez@svusd.org to discuss options)
