Project Rad Skateboarding

Project Rad Skateboarding — Beginner Jumpstart (Ages 6–10)

Built for kids who have never stepped on a skateboard or have only tried it once. No experience needed. Just your kid, a board, and coaches who are genuinely obsessed with helping them ride.

Every session is structured, fun-first, and focused on building the right habits from day one, because getting the fundamentals right early makes everything easier (and safer) down the road.

What Your Child Will Learn

Each week builds on the last:

• Week 1 — How to stand, find their stance (regular or goofy), learn their board components, push, ride, and stop
• Week 2 — Picking up and putting down their board efficiently, and learning to turn
• Week 3 — Controlling their board around obstacles and dropping in on their first ramp
• Week 4 — Building confidence, dropping in, intro to the ollie, and a fun skill test

• Ages: 6–10
• Skill Level: True beginners — never or barely been on a board
• Dates: May 4, 11, 18 & 25 (Mondays)
• Time: 6:00 – 7:00 PM
• Location: Foam Fighters, 9767 45 Ave NW, Edmonton
• Cost: $80 (4-week program)
• Class Size: Max 10 skaters
• Instructor Ratio: 1 instructor per 5 skaters
• Certified Canada Skateboard coaches

Safety & Gear

Helmets and closed-toe shoes are required. Pads are strongly recommended. Skateboards are provided.

What Comes Next?

Beginner Jumpstart is designed as the first step. After four weeks, your child will have the confidence and foundation to move into our ongoing Small Group lessons and keep progressing — at their own pace, the right way.
