Play Big - A Women's Improv Workshop

Who are your favorite women in comedy, and what do they have in common? Is it their larger-than-life characters? Their commitment to the bit? Their willingness to look downright stupid? When it comes to the most iconic and hilarious improvisers, we’ve noticed one thing: they play big.

Join Charity, Kathryn, and Shannon for Play Big, a workshop and conversation around letting go of expectations: who the world says you should be and how you’re “supposed” to act, and stepping into something bigger, freer, and more fully you as an improviser.

The goal is to create a radically supportive space for the women in our improv community to get out of their heads and into their bodies. We’ll guide you through a morning of improv exercises, conversation, and connection. Together, we’ll explore confidence, presence, and what it feels like to take up space unapologetically - both on and off stage. You’ll get a chance to trust your instincts, make bold choices, and deepen your network of support in the local comedy community.

This workshop is for improvisers who identify as women. The conversations we’re facilitating will focus on lived experiences as performers in a male-dominated space. If it sounds like it might be for you, then it probably is!
