CANVAS Dance Arts

Collaborate with your peers and instructors to create a small scale dance production. Dancers will explore various dance styles and characterization through immersive storytelling and group choreography. Introduction to small group and solo sections of choreography.

DANCEProduction Junior meets for 60 minutes once a week. Unless invited by the instructor, grown-ups are asked to wait outside the dance studio.

Fee Installments available:

• Full payment August 2026 to May 2027: $1480
• First Installment due at registration: $740 | Second installment due November: $740
• Students joining for spring session: $770

This is a year long class with multiple performance opportunities.

Fall Dates: August 18, 25, September 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, October 6, 13, 20, 27, November 3, 10, 17, December 1, 8 (NO class Nov 24)

Spring dates: January 5 - May 25

2026-2027 Performances

• Saturday, December 12, 2026 our annual winter recitals at SF State’s McKenna Theater (morning + afternoon)
• Tuesday, December 15, 2026 our holiday party at CDA Studio (evening)
• Saturday, May 22 OR Sunday May 23, 2027 our annual spring recitals at Palace of Fine Arts (morning + afternoon)
• Tuesday, May 25, 2027 our DANCEproduction performance at CDA Studio (evening)

On performance days, dancers need to provide their own:

• black leotard
• black jazz pants
• tan jazz shoes
• hair in a tight ponytail
