CANVAS Dance Arts

First steps to ballet! Improve balance and learn simple dance phrases while utilizing vivid imagery. Stretch like a rainbow, leap over puddles, and reach for the stars.

Beginning classes are 40 minutes in length. Unless invited into the studio by the instructor, grown-ups may wait in the hallway or backstage during this class.

This class is a Full Session and concludes with a stage performance.

Dates: August 20, 27, September 3, 10, 17, 24, October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, November 5, 12, 19, December 3, 10 (NO class Nov 26)

**Full Session performing classes participate in our Winter Recital on Saturday, December 12. Your session fee includes: recital participation and a CDA stage apparel item.

Performance Location: McKenna Theater, SF State (map)

Performance Time: TBA midway through the session. Please note siblings or dancers in two classes may participate in separate shows.

On performance day, dancers should provide their own:

• pink leotard
• pink ballet shoes
• pink tights
• hair in a bun (preferred) or a tight ponytail

Registration notes

• Child must meet the minimum age requirement by the first day of class
• Priority registration for the following session will be offered to currently enrolled students
• Register only once, duplicate registrations will not receive a full refund
